A group of scientists at MIT have developed a drug that, in tests, has been successful in killing every virus they’ve tested it on (~15 so far). I remember reading the original MIT article and thinking it would soon be all over the news, but it never picked up. Though it is still in early stage testing, it surprises me how little attention they’ve received:
But in that long gap in between there’s very very little funding out there. So we’ve been struggling for all of 11 years now just working to get funding, and at the moment we’re just barely limping along.
